Product Updates: September 2026

September saw the launch of an expanded feature set - Bid Management, Bill of Materials, and new Quick Actions for tuning your estimates. Apart from continued focus on AI Estimation improvements, we also added more flexible payment options and the launch of KonstructIQ Growth, along with a host of other bug fixes and minor improvements.

Bid Management

Now you can solicit, collect, compare, and award subcontractor bids without leaving KonstructIQ. Build a bid request by pulling scope items straight from your estimate, attach your plans, and let AI draft the bid request for subs. Each sub gets their own private link and submits through a guest portal. AI levels the received bids into one view so you can award a winner. Your estimate updates line by line, saved as a version you can always revert.

Bill of Materials

Now generate a full materials list for your project directly from your scope of work. Edit individual wastage percentages to get exact purchase quantities, view and update the assumptions baked into the calculations, and generate Purchase Orders straight from the list.

Auto-Annotations (beta) on AI assisted Takeoffs

We are gradually rolling out Auto Annotation, which marks up quantities directly on your plan sheets so you can see exactly where a number came from. We're starting with a focused set of trades and expanding coverage step by step as we gather feedback and keep improving accuracy.

Quick Actions on Estimates

Macro-adjustments to estimates are easier now. A new Quick Actions panel in the AI assistant now allows you to adjust $/sqft, cost/price, margin/markup through a simple click through experience. AI runs a feasibility check and previews every change before it's applied, so there's nothing to revert.

KonstructIQ Growth

KonstructIQ Growth is our new AI-powered marketing engine built into KonstructIQ to help you find leads on Google Maps and Search. Connect your Google Business Profile and AI builds, runs, and optimizes your ad campaigns around the clock. It's your dedicated AI marketing assistant that helps you get more jobs.

Beyond the headline releases, September also brought a steady stream of smaller improvements across the platform – volume/area unit conversions and sheet-scale locking in Takeoff, moved scheduling AI to a more consistent model, instant preview updates and change-order fixes in Estimates & Invoices, corrected bill summary totals and tighter refund controls, plus a new Client Portal schedule view and Sub Portal To-Do tab –  plus a long tail of smaller bug fixes and polish across the app.
